Binghamton, NY – Visions Federal Credit Union financial literacy program with Binghamton University has been ranked as one of the top 50 in the nation by LendEDU.
Since 2017, Visions has partnered with Binghamton University's Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development to provide financial education services to students.
With the assistance of Visions' Financial Education Coordinator, students can attend workshops on a variety of topics, ranging from credit scores, job offer negotiations, affording graduate school, and more. In addition, students are welcome to meet with the Financial Education Coordinator for one-on-one sessions related to the topics of their choice.
This partnership has encompassed over 100 programs reaching more than 1,500 students over the past two years. Cassie Spencer, who spearheads the financial literacy program on behalf of the Fleishman Center, notes that this partnership has "led to students being better prepared for success when they leave Binghamton University."
In addition to their on-campus efforts, Visions provides free financial education services throughout the communities they serve, having impacted nearly 24,000 individuals in 2018, alone.
