Endwell, NY – Employees of Visions Federal Credit Union recently supported charitable projects in their communities throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania as part of their annual Season of Giving campaign. This employee-led initiative was created to inspire generosity and make a substantial, local impact during the holiday season.

In November and December, Visions employees shared information with coworkers about giveback opportunities to support local charities, food pantries, foster homes, and families in need. Donations ranged from monetary contributions to new clothing, household goods, holiday items, and more.

"At this time of year, employees are great at finding new opportunities to give back," said Sarah Parton, Visions' Community Development Liaison. "This Season of Giving includes new projects and collections in Berks and Bradford Counties in Pennsylvania, Morris and Warren Counties in New Jersey, and Tioga County in New York. We're fortunate to partner with so many generous organizations and volunteers who can help distribute these donations to people in need."

During the Season of Giving, Visions also gives employees the option to donate unused Paid Time Off to support either the United Way or the NAFCU/PAC (National Association of Federally Insured Credit Unions Political Action Committee), a bipartisan coalition designed to advance pro-credit union legislation. Donations to NAFCU/PAC come with an "I Heart My Match" program, which matches every dollar contributed by a Visions employee to regional Children's Miracle Network hospitals. As a result of employees donating their accrued PTO, $47,079.05 was donated to the United Way and $7,224.71 to Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in New York and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
