Muse honored at Broome County Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner on May 2, 2018

(Binghamton, NY) May 2, 2018 the Boy Scouts of America, Baden-Powell Council honor Ty Muse with its prestigious 2018 Broome County Distinguished Citizen Award during its annual fundraising dinner on May 2, 2018. Held at The McKinley, 29 McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760. Muse as this year's honoree will be recognized by Baden-Powell Council and other business and community leaders for his significant achievements and service to the community.

Joe Mirabito, President & CEO of Mirabito Holdings is the 2018 Broome County Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner chair. Over 300 guests will add to the evening's festivities honoring Muse, including many of Broome County's top community, government, and corporate leaders.

Broome County's Distinguished Citizen Award recognizes individuals who set positive examples for others and who demonstrate concern and significant care for their communities. Prior Distinguished Citizen Award recipients include: Bruce Boyea, Jeff Coghlan, Stephen Feehan, John Fitzsimmons, David Gouldin, Douglas Johnson, Dr. Thomas Kelly, Jeff Lake, Ron Lesch, Kenneth Miller, Albert Nocciolino, James Orband, Glenn Small and Dr. James Terzian among others.

In addition to honoring Ty Muse the evening will showcase the positive benefits that Scouting contributes to Broome County. Scouts from Broome County will participate in the evening's ceremonies. During the evening, Scouts will share their Scouting leadership experiences and show the positive effect that Scouting has on today's youth.

Proceeds from the Broome County Distinguished Citizens Dinner help fund critical Scouting programs throughout Broome County and its surrounding communities.

  • Visions Employees Drive Annual Season of Giving

    In efforts driven by Visions employees, this year’s campaign (November and December 2023) benefitted more than 13 community organizations throughout their three-state footprint in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The Season of Giving supports organization-wide projects in addition to regional and local initiatives that are championed by employees. Fifteen employees organized giveback projects, including donation drives for clothes, toys, gifts, and pet supplies that were then distributed by partnering organizations and nonprofits in Visions communities.

  • Ty Muse Receives NYS Senate Commendation Award

    Senator Webb presented Muse with the Senate Commendation Award during a Black History Month celebration (February 2024) that underscored the vital contributions and achievements of Black individuals and businesses in the community. The award presentation noted that Muse’s leadership, characterized by positivity and encouragement, has significantly contributed to the economic development of the Southern Tier and that his active participation on numerous community boards and advisory councils nationwide further exemplifies his commitment to the community.

  • Visions Contributes to Creation of Future Fund

    Visions Federal Credit Union’s President/CEO Ty Muse joined credit union industry leaders and representatives of the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) during the African American Credit Union Hall of Fame event at the Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, DC, where they were thrilled to announce the creation of the AACUC’s Future Fund. Visions is one of nine initial investors in the new Future Fund and Muse is proud to serve as the founding Chairperson for the initiative.
