Binghamton, NY – On Wednesday, May 6, representatives from Visions Federal Credit Union delivered a donation of 248 meals to UHS medical professionals.
The meals were donated as part of Visions' Kindness Café initiative, which allowed Visions' employees to donate $5 to help provide free, hot meals to healthcare workers. In all, $1,240 was raised and the meals were prepared by the on-site American Food & Vending cafeteria at Visions' headquarters.
"We've seen so many organizations step up to help support these front-line workers," said Tim Strong, Community Development Manager. "With our on-site cafeteria, it just made perfect sense to help out. All the employees jumped on the idea and we're thrilled with the results."
Visions, with offices located throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York, is currently evaluating other regional needs and planning to continue the Kindness Café initiative.
"Our employees love to give," said Strong. "As long as there's a need, we'll keep helping out."
