Why did you decide to serve?

"I decided to serve Visions FCU as a volunteer because I strongly believe in the credit union philosophy and in the mission of Visions. Being a part of a financial organization dedicated to improving the lives of its members and the communities that they live and work in is very special to me."

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"What I enjoy most about being a Board member is the opportunity to have a voice in the strategic direction of Visions FCU. There are so many opportunities for this organization to grow and provide top quality financial services to its members and I am proud to be a part of that growth."

Why did you decide to serve?

"I decided to volunteer because I was impressed by Visions’ commitment to its members, employees, and the communities it serves. As an organization, Visions recognizes its responsibility as a corporate citizen and invests to make our community a better place to live, work and play."

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"I enjoy working with and learning from both the other board members and Visions’ staff. I love seeing how hard they work every day to make Visions a financial institution that meets and exceeds its members’ needs."

Why did you decide to serve?

"As a member of Visions Federal Credit Union for over 30 years, I have been impressed by the values and success of the credit union. I volunteer because I feel it's important to give back to our community. I am proud to be part of an organization that's dedicated to improving the financial well-being of the members and communities we serve. "

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"I enjoy the opportunity to collaborate with a talented, professional Board of Directors, and to work with a management team and staff who are all dedicated to serving our members with excellence."

Why did you decide to serve?

"Serving as a volunteer with Visions is a great opportunity for me to utilize my personal and professional experience to contribute to an organization that has consistently provided outstanding service and support to its members and community. "

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"I enjoy working with a fantastic team of individuals with a shared mission to ensure the growth of Visions while continuing to provide services to meet and exceed member needs."

Why did you decide to serve?

"I decided to serve as a volunteer with Visions because of the positive impact they have on our community. As a financial organization completely owned by its members, it is important to me to preserve the small banking experience that Visions offers, coupled with the advantages a credit union with close to 250,000 members can offer."

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"I enjoy collaborating with the other board members and management team to ensure we remain a strong, community based financial institution. I am honored to carry forth the mission of Making Visions Matter to our members, employees, and communities."

Why did you decide to serve?

"I felt it was a great opportunity to be involved with the leadership of a very well-run pillar of our community."

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"The networking and educational opportunities the position offers, not to mention the experience gained in helping to oversee an organization that makes a positive difference to our community."

Why did you decide to serve?

"I have served on many boards during my professional career, including both nonprofit and for-profit organizations, but I had never served on the board of a financial institution. As a CPA, I dealt professionally with numerous financial institutions over the years, so I wanted to get a look at them from the inside. I was especially attracted to Visions because I always felt it was one of the best run organizations out there."

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"I enjoy everything about it, but if I had to choose one specific thing, it would be the personal relationships you build with other board members and the staff of the credit union. I find that you learn a lot about an organization just interacting with the people that operate it."

Why did you decide to serve?

"Visions makes a conscious choice to drive positive change as an active member of the communities it serves, and I wanted to become an active participant in that change, too. By providing vital, value-driven services to our members and actively giving back to our community, Visions is a positive force that I am proud to be part of. As a member of the Board, I share Visions’ passion for serving our members and community."

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"I most enjoy working with the dedicated group of men and women that make up the Board as they partner with the management team to put Visions’ members first. I have been part of a variety of organizations – large and small, for-profit and not-for-profit, domestic and international – and rarely have I seen an institution assemble such a talented team of professionals around a common passion of serving their members."

Why did you decide to serve?

"I come from a long line of volunteers and am always looking for worthwhile opportunities. I believe in the mission of Visions, which is to put its member-owners first."

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"Put simply, being a volunteer offers me an opportunity to grow. The Visions board, in particular, is a talented and diverse group. I enjoy encountering different perspectives and learning more about the financial industry and the challenges credit unions face, all while brainstorming new ideas for the future of the credit union and its members."

Why did you decide to serve?

"I considered the call to serve Visions as a volunteer a golden opportunity to give back to my community. I have been living here with my family for over 30 years, and I strongly believe in the core values and principles that guide the credit union’s mission, specifically the service-first focus for members, staff, and our communities. I also admire Visions' long-standing commitment to the promotion of financial literacy and the wellness."

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"I enjoy the warmth, openness, integrity, and cordiality with which the Visions Board Members execute the credit union's mission, and how they work together and with the Executive team to support the interests of our members and communities. It is a privilege and an honor to be associated with such a talented and inspiring leadership team at Visions."

Why did you decide to serve?

"I was impressed with the positive impact Visions makes on the community. In addition to offering tremendous value to members, Visions also sponsors numerous regional events and makes substantial contributions to many local charities."

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"I enjoy working with an extraordinarily talented management team and Board in an environment where we can put the members' interests first."

Why did you decide to serve?

"I have a strong belief in giving back to the community and have served on a number of Boards for different organizations. When I was given the opportunity to get involved with Visions I did some research and learned that Visions was an extremely well run credit union, and was poised for continued growth. Additionally, credit unions exist to help their members succeed and to support the communities they serve. These factors made it easy for me to serve."

What do you enjoy most about being a Board member?

"I sincerely enjoy the way our Board works together to keep Visions FCU moving in the right direction. While we may have different opinions on different issues, we are free to express those opinions and work collaboratively to reach a consensus. In addition to a strong and effective Board we really do have great leadership at Visions supported by a wonderful staff, and this shows in all the positive survey responses we receive. I am proud to be associated with a leader in the credit union industry."
