Xenia Ambatzoglou
Cofounder/Creative Director of 1988
"We want the brand to be about wearing a reminder of how far we’ve come—and an emblem of how much further we can go. Our brand is about bridging the past with the future, honoring the women who paved the way, and standing alongside those still pushing for change. This isn’t just a clothing line; it’s a statement."

Shanita Perdomo
Executive Director of Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc.
"After my mother passed away from AIDS, I found guidance from the women around me. Teachers, mentors, and community leaders stepped in and taught me how to advocate for myself and grow into womanhood with resilience and grace. Those women inspired me to become a woman who empowers others."

Alicia M. Bocek, DVM
DVM/Owner of Day Hollow Animal Hospital
"The journey to ownership was challenging, as I faced many years of self-doubt. As a woman, I questioned whether I could succeed and be effective in this role... Becoming a mother at 40 may have ignited the confidence necessary to take this leap of faith. I realized that if I could handle motherhood, then anything was possible."

Why did Visions create InnovateHER?
At Visions, we embrace diversity by taking deliberate actions to understand and celebrate the synergetic relationship between people, cultures, and society.
As a credit union, some of our Cooperative Principles include education, concern for community, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. These principles and our mission to Make Visions Matter inspired many of our community and membership programs that help to uplift people and organizations in our field of membership, such as Visions Cares, Visions Loves Educators, Veterans Program, and InnovateHER.
-
Does Visions only support women?
At Visions, we support financial well-being for all!
As a credit union, our services are available to all who are eligible for membership regardless of gender or any protected status. As an open community program, neither exclusive to Visions members or business members, InnovateHER aims to uplift those who want a broader professional network or additional guidance as an entrepreneur. We do not wish to exclude anyone, but to promote better inclusion of women in industry and leadership.
InnovateHER by Visions FCU is an intentional space for supporting women entrepreneurs, recognizing the unique strengths many female entrepreneurs possess and encouraging them to support these strengths in others. We also continue to provide our financial services from counseling to education, savings to loans, and youth services to business services, striving to offer an excellent member experience for all genders.
