Endwell, NY – At the annual Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing and Business Development Council Conference, Visions received a 2023 Diamond Award in the Financial Education category. 

CUNA's Diamond Awards, representing the pinnacle of credit union marketing and business development, honor credit unions in 35 categories, ranging from direct mail to website marketing to video and radio commercials to social media. Judges evaluated entries based on strategy, design, production, creative concept, copy, communication, and results. 

The award recognized Visions for their creative strategy and marketing of the Financial Wellness Bootcamp member contest, which ran for nine months and concluded in March of 2022. The contest highlighted many of Visions' free financial wellness resources and tools that helped to assist the four contestants pursue financial goals. Using social media and a custom website, Visions shared periodic updates as contestants met monthly with a designated branch champion, engaged with financial wellness coaches, and even had virtual one-on-one meetings with President/CEO Tyrone Muse. Ultimately, the participants received cash prizes up to $10,000.

"The Diamond Awards showcase the best of the best in credit union marketing and business development initiatives," said Marella Nardotti, Diamond Awards chair and chief marketing officer at NextMark Credit Union. "They recognize innovation and creativity, while tying in impact on organizational profitability, growth, and brand awareness."

This year's Diamond Awards competition received over 1,200 entries. In total, 159 credit unions received awards. This year's top award winners are listed below.

  • Carat Award for Greatest Impact – MY Credit Union, Bloomington, MN

  • Color Award for Brilliant Use of Art – TRUE Community Credit Union, Jackson, MI
  • Cut Award for Most Edgy – TAPCO Credit Union, Tacoma, WA

  • Visions Hosts 59th Annual Meeting

    Three directors were elected to Visions Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors at its 59th Annual Meeting, held at Visions Headquarters in Endwell, NY. Kenneth H. Kidder III, Christopher H. Marion, and Kelly A. Roche were re-elected to three-year terms on the Board, which also includes Jill M. Bennedum, James J. Lewis, Michael A. Mullen, Mary C. Robinson, Laurie Schorno, and Denise B. Stoughton. During the meeting, Chairperson Marion recognized Robinson, Roche, and Stoughton for 10 years of volunteer service and Supervisory Committee member Mark Wasser for 20 years of volunteer service.

    Visions is proud to announce the hire of Patrick M. Killeen as VP/Chief Risk Officer. With over 32 years of experience in risk management, internal auditing, operations, and data analytics for financial institutions, Killeen is a seasoned risk executive eager to support the credit union.
