Endwell, NY – At a recent Credit Union National Association (CUNA) conference, Visions Federal Credit Union and Cynthia Schroeder, Visions' Senior Vice President of Digital Assets, were recognized with awards for excellence in the credit union industry. The awards reflect Visions' commitment to being an industry leader in technology and digital advancements.

CUNA's Operations and Member Experience (O&ME) Council honored Visions with the 2022 Excellence Award in the Digital category. Recipients of this award demonstrate innovative approaches to serving members and advancements that have potential for nationwide application by the credit union industry. Visions received this national recognition for implementing machine learning to provide personalized marketing for online users – an approach that was developed in partnership with Finalytics.ai to curate targeted member experiences through real-time data and dynamic segmentation.

At the same conference, CUNA's Technology Council announced Visions' Cynthia Schroeder as 2022 Professional of the Year. Schroeder has grown in the credit union industry from being a teller in 1976 to being SVP Digital Assets in 2022. Her work in credit union innovation, technology, mentorship, and project management has helped to grow Visions into a $5.6 billion organization.

Schroeder says, "Credit unions have a great future with technology." Recently, she worked to launch Visions' Digital Assets department, and before retiring in December 2022, Schroeder is helping Visions set the framework for their next steps into new technologies, smart contracts, NFTs, and beyond. She says, "New tech is central for our mission of people helping people. By removing barriers and reducing friction for members, we reach more people and make a bigger impact."
