Allentown, PA – Visions Federal Credit Union is thrilled to announce plans to open a new branch in downtown Allentown, PA. The new, permanent location is part of the credit union’s strategic move to increase their brand presence and positive impact in the Lehigh Valley community.

Outside of Berks County and northwestern Pennsylvania, Visions’ presence in the state has been limited to in-store branches at several Giant food stores, including one in Allentown. Earlier this year, Giant notified Visions that they would be relocating their Allentown facility, which provided Visions with the option to relocate as well.

“We’ve been interested in finding a permanent, standalone location in Allentown for years,” said Derek Garcia, Visions’ AVP/Regional Member Service Officer of their Pennsylvania regional market. “When given the choice to either settle into another in-store branch or invest in our own property, we knew this was a perfect opportunity to plant stronger roots in this community.”

The new, full-service branch will be at 27 N. 7th Street, Suite 110, in Allentown, PA. Alongside standard transactions, there will be office space for credit counseling, savings and loan consultations, business account and loan services, and more. The convenient location is within short walking distance of the PPL Center, DaVinci Science Center, Allentown Art Museum, plus other downtown businesses and nearby public transportation.

Visions expects the site to be operational and serving members before the end of 2025. Aside from Allentown, Visions will continue to serve members in several Giant food stores, including one in nearby Bethlehem, PA, and six offices in the counties of Berks, Bradford, and Susquehanna. Garcia added, “Our partnership with Giant has helped us to establish vital relationships with community members and many organizations throughout Lehigh Valley that we’ve been proudly supporting for several years. All those relationships have made this next phase possible, and I can’t wait to see how much more of an impact we’ll be able to make in this community in the years to come.”
