Endwell, NY – On GivingTuesday, Visions Federal Credit Union matched $10,000 in member donations to nonprofit organizations. The gift match was part of a corporate giveback challenge for Visions members to support their favorite causes on GivingTuesday, a philanthropic holiday that follows Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday.

Visions invited members to log into their digital banking account and make donations to any registered nonprofit via Givio, a third-party application in Visions’ digital banking portal. Visions had integrated the service into its online platform in 2022.

The corporate gift match was facilitated through their Visions Cares program, promising to match up to $10,000 total, which was capped at $500 per person. They host similar campaigns throughout the year to highlight nonprofit organizations within their three-state footprint in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. 

Visions’ Social Media Administrator, Micah Mellander oversees the campaigns. He says, “This was our most successful gift match yet, reaching more than a hundred nonprofits in just 14 hours!” In total, Visions members donated $12,285 to 107 nonprofit organizations, and the gift match raised that total to $22,285.

  • Visions Employees Drive Annual Season of Giving

    In efforts driven by Visions employees, this year’s campaign (November and December 2023) benefitted more than 13 community organizations throughout their three-state footprint in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The Season of Giving supports organization-wide projects in addition to regional and local initiatives that are championed by employees. Fifteen employees organized giveback projects, including donation drives for clothes, toys, gifts, and pet supplies that were then distributed by partnering organizations and nonprofits in Visions communities.

  • Visions Contributes to Creation of Future Fund

    Visions Federal Credit Union’s President/CEO Ty Muse joined credit union industry leaders and representatives of the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) during the African American Credit Union Hall of Fame event at the Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, DC, where they were thrilled to announce the creation of the AACUC’s Future Fund. Visions is one of nine initial investors in the new Future Fund and Muse is proud to serve as the founding Chairperson for the initiative.
