Lake George, NY – During the New York Credit Union Association's (NYCUA) Annual Meeting and Convention, Visions Federal Credit Union was recognized with the Desjardins Adult Financial Education Award.

The Desjardins Adult Financial Education Award recognizes credit unions that demonstrate a significant commitment to adult financial education. In 2021, Visions expanded education initiatives through their Wallet Wellness program, which includes self-guided lessons, one on one financial counseling, curated presentations, and community outreach in collaboration with local schools and businesses.

Virtual and in person participation in these educational programs increased by nearly 300% that year due to improved marketing, additional field work, and the expansion of financial literacy resources available for the Spanish speaking community. In a recent press release, NYCUA stated, "As the Wallet Wellness initiative continues to expand, year over year growth of individuals impacted is a testament to Visions' hard work and commitment to community."
