Ithaca, NY – Visions Federal Credit Union invites the Tompkins County and surrounding community to enjoy free admission to summer events at the Visions Amphitheater. Events kicked off during June with a morning yoga session and an evening viewing of the classic baseball film A League of Their Own. The series of free events is continuing through August 23rd.

The summer season includes monthly yoga, outdoor movie nights, and a family “bash” at the outdoor venue, located next to the Visions branch at 408 Elmira Road in Ithaca, NY. 

The general public is welcome to attend the following events in July and August:

  •  Outdoor Movie Nights will bring a different family-friendly film each month, beginning at dusk on select Friday evenings. You’re invited to enjoy the recent Roald Dahl prequel Wonka on July 19th, then Pixar’s Elemental on August 23rd. Arrive before sundown and bring your own chairs, blankets, and refreshments. Alcohol will not be permitted.
  •  Rise & Shine Yoga on August 10 at 9:00am will feature an hour of vinyasa morning flow with Liz Klohmann, Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance and owner of The Mat Fitness in Trumansburg, NY. All levels of experience are encouraged to attend. Please bring a yoga mat or towel. Check-in begins at 8:30am. To learn more about The Mat Fitness, visit thematfitness.com.
  •  Visions FCU Kids Summer Bash on Saturday, August 17th at 9:00am will have plenty of family fun activities and local vendors. Festivities will include a 9:30am performance of Sing Me A Story! Read Me A Song!, featuring the reading and musical talents of John Simon and Cal Walker.

Attendance is free for these community events. No tickets are necessary, but registration is encouraged. Registration details are available on Facebook, at visionsfcu.org/events, and at the Visions branch in Ithaca. Visions encourages attendees to bring their own lawn chairs or towels.   • Visions to Open Branch in Downtown Allentown

    Earlier this year, Giant notified Visions that they would be relocating their Allentown facility, which provided Visions with the option to relocate as well. “We’ve been interested in finding a permanent, standalone location in Allentown for years,” said Derek Garcia, Visions’ AVP/Regional Member Service Officer of their Pennsylvania regional market. “When given the choice to either settle into another in-store branch or invest in our own property, we knew this was a perfect opportunity to plant stronger roots in this community.” The new, full-service branch will be at 27 N. 7th Street, Suite 110, in Allentown, PA.

  • Visions Hosts 59th Annual Meeting

    Three directors were elected to Visions Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors at its 59th Annual Meeting, held at Visions Headquarters in Endwell, NY. Kenneth H. Kidder III, Christopher H. Marion, and Kelly A. Roche were re-elected to three-year terms on the Board, which also includes Jill M. Bennedum, James J. Lewis, Michael A. Mullen, Mary C. Robinson, Laurie Schorno, and Denise B. Stoughton. During the meeting, Chairperson Marion recognized Robinson, Roche, and Stoughton for 10 years of volunteer service and Supervisory Committee member Mark Wasser for 20 years of volunteer service.
