Ithaca, NY – Visions Federal Credit Union invites the Tompkins County and surrounding community to enjoy free admission to summer events at the Visions Amphitheater.

The inaugural season (June-August 2023) will bring yoga, comedy, and family entertainment to the new outdoor venue, located next to the Visions branch at 408 Elmira Road in Ithaca, NY. 

About the events:

 

  • Sunrise Yoga on Sunday, June 11th at 7:30am will feature an hour of morning flow with Jennifer Kalka-King, yoga instructor at Yoga Body Shop in Binghamton. All levels of experience are encouraged to attend. Please bring a yoga mat or towel. Check-in begins at 7:00am. To learn more about Yoga Body Shop, visit yogabodyshop.com.
  • Comedy Night on Thursday, July 27th at 7:30pm will feature Comedy on the Commons with a diverse lineup of comedians that showcase New York's funniest entertainers. Check-in begins at 7:00pm. To learn more about Comedy on the Commons, visit comedyonthecommons.com.
  • Sing Me a Story! Read Me a Song! on Saturday, August 5th at 9:00am will feature reading and musical talents of John Simon and Cal Walker as they share "interactive renditions of songs that come from books and books that come from songs." 

Attendance is free for these community events, with concessions available for purchase. No tickets are necessary, but registration is encouraged. Registration details are available on Facebook, at visionsfcu.org/events, and at the Visions branch in Ithaca. Visions encourages attendees to bring their own lawn chairs or towels.   • Visions to Open Branch in Downtown Allentown

    Earlier this year, Giant notified Visions that they would be relocating their Allentown facility, which provided Visions with the option to relocate as well. “We’ve been interested in finding a permanent, standalone location in Allentown for years,” said Derek Garcia, Visions’ AVP/Regional Member Service Officer of their Pennsylvania regional market. “When given the choice to either settle into another in-store branch or invest in our own property, we knew this was a perfect opportunity to plant stronger roots in this community.” The new, full-service branch will be at 27 N. 7th Street, Suite 110, in Allentown, PA.

  • Visions Hosts 59th Annual Meeting

    Three directors were elected to Visions Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors at its 59th Annual Meeting, held at Visions Headquarters in Endwell, NY. Kenneth H. Kidder III, Christopher H. Marion, and Kelly A. Roche were re-elected to three-year terms on the Board, which also includes Jill M. Bennedum, James J. Lewis, Michael A. Mullen, Mary C. Robinson, Laurie Schorno, and Denise B. Stoughton. During the meeting, Chairperson Marion recognized Robinson, Roche, and Stoughton for 10 years of volunteer service and Supervisory Committee member Mark Wasser for 20 years of volunteer service.
